What do you think my favorite device is out of this line up?
You have the super duper Windows Mobile Smartphone Samsung i300 on the far left with its 3GB internal hard-drive sitting next to the i730. The i730 which is a Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition sizes up amazingly well (with its QWERTY keyboard hidden from view) next to the current small form factor champion... the imate JAM.
All three of these babies are being shown here at TechEd at the Windows Mobile device bar in the Expo Hall.
Dale after reading your post about TechEd I'd say the i730 is your favorite, although all the devices are great I I'd like to have any of them. More so the 730 because I have a cdma carrier. Wish I was going to TechEd, maybe next year.

Which is my favorite?
Well, right now I'm using the JAM. I very much like its small form factor. Using the JAM I have found that I have become a two device person...the JAM goes everywhere with me, much like any cellphone, but around home and in the shop I use my x50v with its bigger screen, WiFi, and lots of memory. If it wasn't for the fact that I always have at least two PPCs kicking around I don't think I would be satified with the JAM and its small screen.
The great thing with Phone Edition devices at the moment is that finally there are a number of choices, and many more on the way. This is fantastic, because it allows people to choose what works best for them, be it the upcoming Universal, or one of the smaller devices you have pictured here. A lot of people are going to choose the Universal because if all its abilities, such as the keyboard, but others will find it much to big for their purposes and choose one of the other smaller ones. In the past we have had to make due with the minimal choices we had.
Now for me the perfect form factor would be the h4150 Ipaq as a phone Edition device. Nice size but still has a 3.5" screen. :)

The i730 is almost as small as the JAM! Gotta vote for that.
I think my fav though is the i300.. nice looking and 3gb internal drive is always nice. ;)

I've just discovered your site a few minutes after reading about the Samsung phone in a magazine. I'd be interested in your thoughts about it. Currently I use a Sony Ericsson K700i and sync my diary and contacts to it from my Tablet PC. Unfortunatley the contact templates are not identical and some of the details do not appear correctly. I also like the idea of the internal hard drive, so far I have resisted the temptation to by an MP3 player always believing that one day I could use my phone for this task.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

JonGH, I am assuming you are using Outlook on your TabletPC? The Samsung i300 will sync like a champ with that. And the real beauty for you (since you sound like a media type user) will be syncing using Windows Media Player 10 over to the i300. You will be able to take your music (with album art), playlists, your photos, photostory, video all along with you. Plus wait till you use VoiceCommand on a phone... it is something to die for :-)

Is that picture for real? The i730 is just about the same size as the Jam?! If so, oh baby! I have an i700 and am so tired of carrying around this Soviet Size PDA Phone. I want a jam but the jam is for GSM carriers and my carrier is Verizon Wireless.

Joe, you can stop pinching yourself... :-) You are in for a real treat once Verizon starts shipping this out. Remember there isn't a camera on this model like the i700 if that is important to you.
